Blue catfish weighs in at 130 pounds A Missouri couple may have broken a 5-year-old world record by hauling in a 130-pound catfish Tuesday, beating the previous record set by a Godfrey fisherman by 6 pounds. Until fisherman Greg Bernal, 47, of Florissant, Mo., can get the blue catfish verified as the world's largest catch, he will have to be satisfied knowing his catfish is certified as breaking the Missouri record. Fishermen Fined For Overfishing In Lake Erie

SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Six fishermen from Tennessee and Georgia will have to pay a high price for violating Ohio fishing regulations. The men were fined $16,000 and had to forfeit three bass boats, trailers and two freezers full of fish for overfishing in Lake Erie.
